Miami Horror on Australian blogatuin yhtye
Miami Horrorin tarina lähti liikkeelle vuonna 2008, kun yhtye julkaisi Bravado EP:n. Yhtyeen musiikki levisi pian lukuisissa blogeissa ja Miami Horrorin keikat täyttyivät kuulijoista. Vuonna 2010 yhtye julkaisti Illumination-debyyttialbumin ja yhtye valtasi useiden festivaalien lavat. Miami Horror koostuu dj Benjamin Plantista, laulaja/kitaristi Moriatysta, basisti Dan Whitechurchista ja rumpali Aaron Shanahanista.
"When it came to the point of creating the live show we were always going to eventually try new things. Although we were an odd couple at first, once Josh and I started collaborating we soon realised we had something very powerful in our hands, the ability to create music that stems from such different origins and genres, consequently marrying ideas that may have otherwise never met."

Albumiarviot
"Miami Horror are much like the sugary cereal from my childhood: quickly familiar upon first bite but eventually a vice I'm unable to kick. Their songs are saccharin drenched, heart pulsing and buzzworthingly yummy thanks to lyrics and synths which cause an immediate sugar high. From the bass-lines and layered echoic cadence of "Holidays" to the double-time drilling beat of their latest single "I Look to You," each of Miami Horror's 12 tracks are dance-floor bangers. They just want to make fun, booty rump tunes. The great thing is, they succeed in a majorly monstrous way." - New York Post
"You know how there's an argument for Spiller's ‘Groovejet...' being the best song of all time? Well, now imagine the same track, without Sophie Ellis Bextor, but with Swedish concept-pop gods The Tough Alliance, and used on a Uniqlo ad campaign? Struggling? Well, watch this hunk of Aussie dreamwave." - NME
"The Australian electro outfit finally drop their much-anticipated debut record and it is the first soundtrack for summer. Gorgeous, shimmering, fully-realised anthems which recall the early days of Cafe Del Mar, the middle era of New Order and the DNA quirks of Daft Punk. You'll be hearing Summersun, Sometimes and Moon Theory blaring out of car stereos and back yards for months." -
The Daily Telegraph
"What really stands out for us is the infusion of French house and disco bass with underlying funk guitars and smooth vocals by Melbourne's very own Kimbra. We just can't tell if we want to head bob, tap our feet, sway gently by a poolside lounge, or just flat out dance." - Miami Times
